After season is over and free agents possibly move on what's left is

Montreal gets leafs prospect for no one
Columbus gets Toronto pick and and Ottawa prospect (s) for no one
Ottawa gets Zaitsev for prospect (s)
Toronto gives up a pick and prospect for no one

Unless Toronto wins cup or resign Karlsson they lose big
Unless Ottawa resign Panarin or trades him at deadline they give up too much for Zaitsev
Columbus has best chance to resign who they get plus get pick and prospect. win
Montreal is smart to do this deal

In closing, that was fun to analyze and put a good spin on making a deal. so thankyou for that thought

I think If the leafs throw another first at Ottawa and a second at Columbus it could work very interesting. There would need to be more added and I don’t think a 4 way could ever work unless it was a hidden 4 way where a team turns around after a 3 way and deals but innovative idea.
