'As much as I like Trouba (I was hoping Leafs would pick him over Reilly in their draft year) I don't think I would want the Leafs to make this trade.
Leafs have 2 elite center's and each of those elite center's needs an elite winger to play with.
Leafs are blessed with 2 in Nylander and Marner.
I think it would be a mistake to break up those tandems.

Plus. Jets are tight against the cap and Ny will want or get all of troubas' asking price which will probably be even cheaper.
Since Peg is in tight, I would say for Trouba .1st 2018, Kapanen, Liljegren.
So those two contracts are low prices with high potential allowing the Jets to keep the rest of their main core to workhorse through while Lil maybe steps in a 6th spot to ease in. (after he learns their system)
