Ottawa gets a very good young player that could be a superstar in nylander. Two propects of there own drafting.

Toronto gets there number one defence man rh. They sign karlsson long term and can sign Matthews and Mitch upfront for big money. Makes your team more balanced salary cap wise with forwards and defence. We all can agree that Toronto needs a stud on the back end. I don't know if Ottawa would trade with the leafs though. Let me know what you think.

How do we get better on the backend? Karlsson is lousy in his own end, he’s strictly a rushing D man. Forget this trade and any trade involving Nylander. He is your Hall and for Larsson trade. Oh btw Hall just won the Hart. So you really want to do to the Leafs what Chiarelli did to the Oilers. Dumb trade.

Maybe add a new edge to the deal, karlsson to LA, doughty to leafs, Ottawa gets your proposed package.
