but in reality Nathan also will have a lower contract in due time allowing us to spread the wealth while still providing a great talent (along with making a trade for a solid D man in Eric to compliment the d core)

1st trade - no. Mackinnon had an outstanding year last year, but question remains: was it a breakout season, or was it an anomaly? Mackinnon is cheaper, but Matthews appears to be the better player so far. Johnson is too expensive.

2nd trade - absolutely not. Way overpayment. O’Reilly is too expensive.

3rd trade - Calgary says no. Like Hacksaw always says, you’re offering Leafs garbage for Calgary gold.

You are bringing in an inordinate amount of salary. I never to the time to add it all up, but I find it hard to believe all these guys can fit under the cap.
