Rights to Bozak, 1st 2018, Kapanen, any suggestions for a fourth item?
To leafs:
Dylan Strome, Alex Goligoski or Jason Demers

Dylan Strome hasn't hit the NHL as soon as expected (he was drafted before Marner and didn't start until this year) and Arizona may not want to give him a big extension after giving Oliver-Ekman Larsson one
With Bozak they get Centre depth (which they need) and someone who will sign for a lot less then Strome
Plus Kapanen's contract is low and he is expected to be a top 6 froward, which they need more of
Then Leafs also get a D in Goloski or Demers

In my opinion this is terrible trade for the leafs.
Strome hasn't panned out, demers is okay and goligoski is ok dman.

What you could also do is give them Martin's contractor and instead of Kapanen you could take a few player from the farm (Timashov, Brooks, Moore for example, not all 3 of them of course but u get my point)

Strome is a bust. I don’t think Bozak will be cheaper than Strome, but would rather re-sign him that’s take a chance on Strome. Goligoski is LHD, we don’t need him. Demers is RHD, but not any better than what we have currently.

I’d rather have Bozak, Kapanen, and 1st than any of the guys coming our way from Arizona here.

That is my point we get Demers or Gogloski and we can trade Gardiner for a better RHD

Lines look like this:
Reilly/ RHD with Gardiner trade
Demers or Goligoski/ Zaitsev
Dermott/ Hainsey
Leafs GM your right I shouldn’t have added Kapanen, but we still should trade Bozak to make it closer to fair with Grundström instead of Kapanen
Strome would play 4th line not 3rd line Center.

I think if you put strome on a line with a good veteran like Marleau and a star player like Marner he may turn out to be good.
