Leafs trade Gardiner Leivo brown 2nd 2018

Chicago trade Duncan Keith

Or

Leafs Gardiner Leivo Brown 2nd 2018 Andrew Neilsen

Chicago trade Toews Chicago retain 2.75 million. Duncan Keith

Chicago need to start over Toews recorded 52 points this season. Chicago need young players that can contribute. Hawks must finally fix their salary cap so they can compete again.

If Keith and Toews. Are in lineup next season there is no way they make playoffs and they can't add anything in offseason.

They can't patch holes anymore they need major cap relief Toews must go and leafs want Keith.

For all of you that think this trade in insane I want you to tell me how do Chicago make playoffs nest season if 16 million dollars is still on their payroll called Toews and Keith.

Chicago will add youth be competitive and be able to move forward

Definetly no. We’re a new Leafs team trying to sign saavy deals and only pay big for our own drafted players when we need to.

The first Keith trade may be fair, but Keiths contract is bloated and he's already starting to become worse. So I wouldn't want any part of him.

Similarly, I don't know what went through your head when you proposed the second one. you basically ate saying Toews with 25% retained = Andrew Neilsen. Lol. Toews, even with his contract is worth far more than that, and even then, the Leafs should not ean to get near that contract.

Despite what many on this site believe, Kieth is still one of the best defensemen in the league. Yes, he had a down year this year, as did all of Chicago, but prior to this season he had one of his best seasons ever in 2016-2017. He’s on a sweet contract, and would be a welcome addition to our top line.

I don’t know if Chicago is ready to make big changes yet. I think we will have to wait and see how start of next season goes. Toews contract is a hard pill to swallow for getting Kieth. I would want Chicago to retain more like $3M on him. Then we are paying ($7.5 + $5.5)/ 2 = $6.5M average for the pair. That’s a little more reasonable.

If we accepted Toews at $10.5M, Matthews would be demanding a lot more money, and we need to make him the highest paid player on the team without blowing our budget for what will basically amount to a third line center.

Even my trade is useless I still have the guts to post add something what's your lineup next year.

I agree with Mackin. Sure, his posts can be pretty far out in left field, but at least he’s willing to post something, and take the heat after for it. He’s excellent at getting the conversations going and keeping it running. And he knows a lot more than you think.

I have never seen even one proposal from you, and the only posts I’ve ever read are hyper-critical and insulting snippets that do nothing towards furthering the conversation or providing inputs into rumors or trades. As the old saying goes, “Put up, or shut up”.

I've thought of this before but it wouldn't be the right move for us. This would be agreeing to too much term for those players. We need short term players.

The term isn’t so bad. It’s the enormous amount of money Toews makes. He was overpaid from the moment he signed that contract. For a player who averages only 26 goals and 61 points a season, and has never led in any individual category, he’s simply an above average player being paid superstar money, which he most certainly my is no superstar. He’s the most overpaid player in the league. Would I take a 25 goal scorer, 60 point player on our team? Absolutely. I would love someone like that at 3C. Would I be willing to pay $10.5M for him? Absolutely not. Not under any conditions would I be willing to pay that much money for a slightly above average player.
