What makes you think someone like JVR will sign for one year when other teams will offer him the security of a long term contract at the same, or better, money? Would you take $6 million instead of $36 million? If you say yes, you are a liar.

This is a tire fire, so I'll just pick on one egregious error and let the rest of the site rip this apart.
Why would JVR ever sign a one year contract? He is in his prime and will have long term, multi-year offers from multiple teams, like at more money per year than you have above. NHL players are always one bad injury from never playing again. With contracts guaranteed for injury, there is zero, allow me to reiterate that --ZERO-- chance JVR would ever sign a one year deal at this point in his career. There is absolutely nothing in it for him, other than risk. Your post lost all credibility from that oversight alone.
