No thanks better sign Carlson summer

Bracco not as skilled as marner but he is a passing machine

Bracco graduates leafs start 2019-20 season

Let me draw you picture entry level top 9 player that's theee deadly scoring lines

Hymen Matthews nylander
Maleau / Johnson kadri marner
Bracco statsny Kapanan

Brown

On your top 9

Grundstrom
Brown
Johnson
Kapanan
Bracco
Hymen

Will be dirt cheap
That's the formula for constant contender. Matthews marner nylander earn and the rest it takes a long time for them to get hurting contracts.

I would do this trade. By breaking the trade down into two separate trades, it becomes clear why this isn’t a bad trade for either team.

Neither Carrick or Lievo have any future with the Leafs. Neither does Green. Wings probably won’t want Green after this season either. So trading Lievo and Carrick for a rental like Green makes sense if Detroit can’t find a higher bidder for Green’s services. Lievo and Carrick are both young NHL ready players who can start contributing to the wings immediately. Green upgrades our defence for playoffs, and can sign somewhere else in thenoff season. We don’t want him next year.

Glendening for Bracco and a second is a little harder pill to swallow, but I would still make this trade too. Glendening fills our immediate need for a 4C for the next 3 years, and has a good contract. He’s a proven NHL player who can start to contribute immediately. While Bracco is a good prospect and may eventually turn into a good nhl player, that won’t be happening for at least a few more years, if ever, and we need someone right now to shore up our fourth line. Bracco is replaceable in the Leafs system. We can always draft another kid just like him.

So Zach Hyman spells his name with an 'A'.

Hymen with an 'E' probably only applied last year. I think it's safe to say his NHL cherry has been popped.

I think this is a great deal you get another vet to slide into our top four and you get another work horse for the fourth line David Mackin you should just stop posting on this sit cause your in fantasy land the caps will resign there best dman even if they have to move a contract plus you really wanna bring a huge contract in and take the chance of losing one of the top 3 not worth it leafs need a cheaper option and I still believe if leafs do nothing that option should be Holl I mean he’s everything the leafs are looking for only difference is he doesn’t have a lot of nhl experience but i mean 2 games 2 goal is hard to ignore.

Leafs 94

I don't think caps afford Carlson
And I want you show me evidence they can I showed you how leafs can afford him.

Carlson should be the Leafs entire focus in the off season. He would solidify the entire defence and make it Championship worthy

Rielly Carlson
Gardiner Zaitsev
Dermott Hainsey

Dermott gains more experience and knowledge with Hainsey as his mentor. Let Gardiner walk after that season and Dermott slides into the second pairing with a new bottom pairing of

Borgman Liljegren.

That's exactly what leafs need a game changer on defence

Someone slammed statsny his rating on face offs in 13 th in NHL Bozak rates 42 on that list

Plus statsny more points than Bozak and that will only improve when he lands between Johnson and Kapanan.

As Jvr is tool to land top pick this deadline Gardiner becomes the same tool next deadline. he has to go but with his skill set you can get a first Rd pick 4 him next deadline.

You make a good argument for Carlson and your predicted future defensive line ups is well thought out. Carlson is a very good player, and likely will get $7M. To be honest though. with the exception of Pittsburg (who has the worlds best player on the team), every cup winner since Anaheim in 2007 has had a Norris trophy winner on the team. I don’t think Carlson has the chops to be a Norris caliber defenseman. If Leafs make a big splash in the UFA market for a defenseman, I think they are better off waiting until next year. I would be looking long and hard at both Doughty and Karlsson.

I don’t know if I agree with you 100% about Gardiner being traded. He’s really turned it around the last couple years under Babcock, and can arguably be considered Leafs best defenseman the last two years. I would rather see Zaitsev get traded, even though we won’t get a 1st for him, and re-sign Gardiner. On the other hand, Gardiner’s value is at its peak. I’m still not sold on him after watching him underperform for so many years. I wouldn’t be surprised Leafs trade him while they can still get something of quality back.

Well for one you posted what the leafs are going to sign the big 3 at and you had nylander making 5 mil and marner making 7 you have to be really gullible if you think nylander accepts this him and marner are identical when it comes to stats difference is nylander plays on the top line so nylander says no secondly caps are not going to let their best dman walk that’s almost like the leafs letting Mathews walk.
