That's why trading pics and young assets is nuts I think this year we need Bozak and komarov but you must get the gold for JVR

Johnsson different player but replaces him easily speed to burn like Kapanan and dirt cheap.

You’re proposing to give Statsny $6M and make him your third line center? Statsny is no better than Bozak, and Bozak is younger. $6M for Statsny is ridiculous.

$7M for Carlson is also too much. Leafs didn’t make an offer to Shattenkirk, and I doubt they will make an offer like that to Carlson either.

You are the one always talking about how Leafs should have patience and stick to the plan. Making a big splash in UFA pool by overpaying for an overrated third line center and an unspectacular RHD isn’t exactly part of the Shannaplan.

Carlson unspectacular? 3rd in Points for Defensemen, while playing the PK and starting in the defensive zones 52% of the time. Yeah, sounds like someone the Leafs don’t need. I would offer him $6.5 and see. Statsny I would stay far far away from.

If you google best centre ice stats statsny is 13 on long list and bozak 42. Leafs need a centre next season unless Babcock finally decides to use nylander.

Even if he is better than I give him credit for, I still wouldn’t pay $7M for Carlson. I would rather find a plug for RHD until Liljegren is ready.

Your as bad as Mackin. You want to pay your third line center how much? If Leafs are going to pay $13M to anyone on the team other than Matthews, I would be looking at either Doughty or Karlsson.
