I don't know who told you marleau only gets 1.5 million 3 Rd year. It's 6.5 each year come on why would he sign and in last year at 38 play for chump change. 19.5 million over 3 years that's what he signed.

He is actually right Sebski. Yes his cap hit is 6.5 million each year and yes he is paid 19.5 for 3 years but the deal is structured so most of that 19.5 is paid out in first 2 years leaving only 1.50 million to be paid in 3rd year with cap hit of 6.5. So what he is saying is teams that don't have much money but need to reach the cap floor will pay 1.5 to get some goals on the cheap when they wouldn't have hit the cap ceiling anyway.
