Interesting trades.

I'm not keen on giving up on Leivo as I can see him being slotted into the lineup come playoffs. And Johnson is someone that I think is not worth putting in the line up ahead of Dermott. But if CBJ throws in a draft pick (i. e. 2nd or 3rd) of there own then I would pull the trigger.

As for the Islanders trade that would be an interesting scenario. NYI would get a defenceman who could log big minutes should the likes of Johnny Boychuk be out longer than expected? But this trade could also allow the Islanders to squeese into the playoffs where anything can happen. This trade would be a real steal if a) the Islanders miss the playoffs and b) Tavares decides to sign with the Leafs in the offseason.
