Oilers add a skilled Top 6 winger to help offensively and the Leafs add a tough, rugged Top 4 Dman
While Nurse has played exceptionally well this season, the Oilers LD chart consists of Klefbom, Russell and a soon returning Sekera all who are signed to multi year deals. This trade addresses areas of need for both teams.

This would be the dumbest trade Lou could ever make. Marner will become a top line winger on any team. Nurse will become a top 4 at best.

Im 1 of the people saying trade marner if the price is right but this value is nowhere near where it needs to be. i'd swap to jvr and give a 2nd.

Randy you are nuts to even think of trading Marner. Big mistake. Bozak and JVR no longer fit on the Leafs roster. JVR to Arizona for Kjalmarsson and Dvorak. Kadri, Gardiner, Kappenen, Nielsen, a 2018 1st Rd pick and 2nd Rd pick in 2019 to Colorado for Landeskog and prospect Bigras.

Nylander that colorado trade is worse than the marner trade. Also i'm saying for high end talent on defense like ekblad. Marner for ekblad i'd do in an instant.
