Gauthier, fehr, Moore, nylander are all on expiring contracts, nylander won't play center this year. Unless absolutely needed. fehr didn't play an nhl game since 2016 (I think) and Gauthier came off of an absolutely horrible leg injury. How is that the best depth in the league. 4 of the players named are 4th line guys. At best Brooks is a really solid 3 in my opinion.

If Nylander is a centre you might want to let Babcock know about that since he has publicly said that he will not be playing centre this year.

I like how you call me out Davidmakin and your trades are always terrible ideas.

Nylander will not play centre possibly ever, not this season for certain but I wouldn't be surprised to see Nylander stay on the wing for his career and take face offs on his strong side. It's not a bad option to have when the primary centre gets tossed (which is often) .
I don't think Leafs should sign Bozak because he won't sign for under 4 mil. I agree with that part, but the Leafs will have to address the void left by his departure, especially if it's at the deadline.

You're also putting a lot of faith in Gauthier and Brooks.
Both of which are not guarantees, Gauthier will at max be a forth line penalty killing specialist.
Brooks is such a wild card it's not even funny, we are yet to see his pro game and you're getting really excited about his numbers in an overage junior player. Granted his numbers were great in his draft year as well. That being said he hasn't played a single game at pro ranks yet, I hope he's great but to rely on this guy being an impact NHLer at this point is jus plain crazy.

On a brighter note, has anyone noticed the Leafs newest signing Pospisil. Size and skill, he looks to be ok if he can play consistently.

Best Centre depth? That's a joke right? Nylander is not a Centre and plays wing for 1. Bozak is on an expiring contract and likely not retained.

I was actually thinking the Leafs C depth is what is weak.
