This is not bad for leafs lol david doesn't want to trade anyone, he just wants to stay a bubble team.

I do not always agree with David but I certainly do here, this trade helps us this year but screws us up the behind for the future. We have Liljegren coming in like 2 years just be patient.

Dear oldltooth hockey player

This is about building a pay structure that you can sustain.
I get leaf fans want flashy blue liners like Doherty or Faulk or whoever. The leafs are setting up their payroll so they can b great a very long time dmen are on the way

Liljegren
Dermott
Neilsen
Rosen
Borgman
JD Greenway

So as your waiting you look like they are at Russian kid next summer and short term fixes but Morgan Reilly is making most you create nightmare by bringing in expensive dman

The leafs defence this year has more depth than it did last year and next year it will have more can u just chill out and enjoy the ride. your moving JVR Bozak and komarov for a bunch of picks or young prospects. Look where we were at start of 2015-16 season look where we are now r u blind.

Burdens

The leafs are not a bubble team right now they Stanley cup contender and party is just starting. All leafs have is young prospects ta you don't move them yet.

Valiev starting to look iffy that's only one u can trade right now.

Just one thing. The leafs are not contenders. They are a playoff team that hasn't won a series (bubble team) Although I do agree that one stud dman will make them a possible contender but that remains to be seen. Our defence will be stacked soon if our prospects pan out.

Faulk is probably the most economical D in the entire NHL. For what he brings to a team he is worth much more than what he is paid. 4.8 mil and he immiadtely becomes the top D for the Leafs and plays on their 1st power play unit, meanwhile picking up a good young centre with size.

For a player who won't be with the Leafs next season (JVR), Bracco who's got a lot of upside and can play with Matthews, and Nielsen who has lots of upside too, on a team with a bevy of LHD.

I would do this trade, today, yesterday and tomorrow. Faulk is a stud and Leafs would be lucky to have him, and Roy would fill in for Bozak next year I really think.

This trade would make Toronto hard to dismiss when talking contenders whilst padding a position that the Leafs don't really have a lot of young guys in coming up.

If the Canes would agree this is a great hockey deal, and JVR may even sign and stay in Carolina with his brother. That could be intriguing to the Canes.

Have to agree with D bone! If you can get Justin Faulk from Carolina for that package, you should grab it and run before Carolina comes down from that drunken stupor! Problem is Hurricane would never agree to it. William Nylander might get it done. Faulk, if were to be a Leaf would easily be Toronto's best defenceman. If you hadn't noticed top two d-men don't grow on trees.
