Right now the leafs lineup will have some extra players that they don't really need

Marleau- Matthews- nylander
Jvr- kadri- marner
Leo-Bozak-brown
Martin-Moore-hyman

Where's the young players that have proved they can play in shosh, kapenen, leivo they proved that they can play. Las Vegas needs more players. To fill their 50 contracts.

Lv
Rycel Timashov marincin

Leafs
C. miller

Vegas gets more contracts.

Yotes

Bozak Lupul leivo Johnson

Leafs
2nd
Then the Toronto lines look different

Marleau Matthews nylander
Jvr kadri marner.

These are both interesting trade proposals. You did reference one player, Johnson, who I am curious to see what the Leafs do with him as he nears the end of his ELC. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Leafs use some of their lesser tier prospects in a trade to make room for new contracts or to gain a serviceable NHLer.

You would also wonder about the Leafs depth at forward; all of Kapanen, Leivo, Shoshnikov, and Rychel would still be ranked ahead of Johnson. I'm not sure about Altonen, but he may also be ahead of Johnson.

Ares99r the leafs need to move players to let the young players play. They don't need guys Bozak in there lineup.

I wouldn't trade Timashov or Johnson. if the leafs are trading guys it has to be JvR, Bozak or Komarov who are in their final year, and the other group is the AHLers who have served their time but still can't crack the Leafs, those players being. Rychel, Leivo and Soshnikov. The three of those players all got hurdled by Kapanen and they still don't project to be in the lineup. Keep the young guys like Johnson and Timashov who can still develop in the AHL. We know what Leivo, Sosh and Rychel are, we can afford to lose those guys. They are career bottom 6/ depth players. Don't trade talent away that still has a lot of upside. Not saying Leivo and Rychel don't but they have are expendable and Babs likes Sosh but again, he's a bottom line guy.

We have a bunch of people that can play centre. This is people i our line up known to play centre in order of likelihood.

Matthews kadri moore nylander komorov marleau marner. i'd like to see them start marner on centre though may be a bad year but his hockey iq is through the roof i'm sure he could get it pretty quick.

Imho a line of nylander jvr and marner would get bullied.

Is that before or after they light the lamp multiple times a game? Marner and nylander would ruin teams on the score board this year.

I'll give it to you tho, they would start drawing attention if top dmen, and get pushed around but at that point switch it up

Marleau nylander marner.

Marleau would take on anyone to protect the kids.

As much as I'd prefer an up grade on Bozak . He's almost too valuble (to the team) to deal him . I mean who's a better replacement that they could possibly get in a trade? And no moving Kadri on to that line would be stupid . Keep Kadri on more of the shut down line .

1-2 marner played centre in the minors he's small but smart he could probably handle taking centre.

Dangle, I'm all for the Leafs giving their younger guys more playing time. But you also want this team to return to the playoffs. I'm in agreement with Bowser on who plays 3C in the event you trade Bozak? Boa know isn't going to fetch you much on the market. His current contract after deters other teams from fitting him under their cap.
Randy, Mather isn't playing centre despite being one for his junior career. It's been noted on many occasions including hockey analysts that feel he's better suited as a winger (with a similar style to Kane) . Komarov is not an everyday centre. Marceau can play centre for a short time but again, he's not a long term solution. If the Leafs are moving bozak out, they need someone who can play full time in his place.
