Subban at $4.5M is still a pretty good player. got to be better than Ceci I would say. We use Ceci’s LTIR to cover Subban for the remainder of the year, which means we get Subban for free this year. If he does bad, we can trade him in the off-season or simply waive him. I have a hard time seeing him clear waivers. Someone will pick him up off waivers when he is only costing $4.5M. So basically, we get Subban as a rental this year and it would only cost Bracco and Hollowell.

He is better than Ceci but for a group already having issues showing up every night I don't want Subban in there as well.

There is a reason both Montreal and now Nashville has shipped PK out of town. not just his huge cap hit.

Stay away, he's not the answer. Younger guys with term - that's the key now.

Leafs have proven 1 thing this year, they can be a dangerous team on any given night. but they are not yet cup contenders.
