That Islanders proposal might just be your best one yet MPH. It makes a lot of sense for both teams. Kapanen and Dermott are tops on my “Leafs Most Likely To Be Traded” list, and you bring in some real good prospect players that have good upside and are just about ready to break into the league.

And Mayfield, My gosh, What a stud he’s turned out to be. That has got to be one of the best contracts in the league. Why can’t Dubas make a signing like that? Instead we got Holl at twice the price. Is Holl overpaid or is Mayfield underpaid? Probably a bit of both. I like, no, scratch that, I love the idea of have Holl and Mayfield as our bottom two RHD. They would be a great pair of shutdown defensemen on the weak side.

If Leafs were able to do the Islanders trade, the other two wouldn’t be necessary though imo.
