Someone beat you to it Randy. Lol. This almost identicsl trade was posted yesterday. Except with a 3rd instead of 1st. Can’t see Columbus giving up a 1st. Hard to say though considering the exchange of players seems to favor them fairly heavily.

I guess it doesn’t matter if Columbus gives up the 1st or not. I can’t see Leafs making this deal.

That’s would of been my trade I never got the chance to explain why I think We should move the two leaf players someone brought up the fact that Anderson is having a poo year I agree. but that just means when we resign him there’s cap savings on that deal for sure ideally it would be Johnsson instead of kappy but he’s basically done for the season so he’s got literally zero trade value to a team that’s pushing for a playoff spot kappy is good I mean I said it before in the right situation I think he could easily become a 30 goal scorer but he can’t be that on the leafs stuck behind willie and Mitch kappys value to are team is his pk abilities. As for Dermott great player but don’t see what the leafs are going to do maybe he plays the right side this year but if they go out and get that rhd where does he fit you got new guy Holl Barrie on the right and Reilly Muzzin Sandin on the left and with how great Liljegren has looked you got to believe him and Sandin will be our bottom pairing guys next year like can’t believe how well Liljegren has looked same can be said with the forward group in a healthy roster how do you fit everyone leafs trade from a strength here.

Barrie won't be back. If Dermott or Sandin can switch sides that's 6 guys.

Johnson ONLY has value to a playoff team that needs cap space. LTIR savings can be huge in say a Dumba deal to a team short on space.
