I personally thought Campbell and Clifford woul shave cost slightly more that's why Dubas hadn't done it yet but here we are.

Good job Dubby, Weed is legal in Canada and I think toughness may now be legal in Toronto, let's see. Probably see Clifford circling in his own end waiting for the other team to change before he goes up the ice - our new system.

MPH. You almost called it again. Lol. I’m starting to think you have insider information or something. Very impressive. Walker is young and looking good, so LA isn’t going to trade him any time soon. Clifford is older and pending I believe is pending UFA, or only has one more year or something.

So, if Andersen is out for an extended period and Leafs miss the playoffs as a result, does Dubas keep his job? He should have addressed the backup position much earlier in the season. Instead he waited until it was an emergency, and in my opinion, he overpaid, like always. He didn’t get a defenseman yet still. And he brought in Clifford, a player of the Type Dubas has repeatedly said we don’t need. We had players like Komorov or Martin and Dubas let them go for free. Now he had to pay to replace them. I don’t think this was a very good trade for Leafs at all. If this trade doesn’t work out I could see Dubas being out of a job. What do you think @LeafsLife.

LeafsGM, Dubas lose his job for this trade, what are you smokin. If we miss the playoffs we miss, that's it. Dubas will blame it on Babs start that's the end of it. We have been a good team under Keefe and will get better, only thing I am concerned about is the system, looks way too loose for me, especially when we get the lead.

If we miss Dubas should be fired. Top 10 protected means we will miss out on a 12-18 type 1st rounder which is horrible. I would also fire Dubas because if all it took was Moore and 2 thirds why didn't this get done 6 months ago? Why did he wait until now? I seriously doubt the asking price suddenly dropped.

The Clifford side of this is meaningless as far as I'm concerned though. He will play 6 minutes a game, 4 of which on the pk because he isn't talented enough for Keefe. He may even be a press box guy until Kapanen gets traded (assuming he does)

Funny thing about Babs record, Keefe is getting more out of 3 guys but Babs got more out of the rest. I don't mind Keefe at all but his system is concerning. He also hasn't faced major injuries all at once like Babs did. Dermott, Hyman, Tavares, Marner all at once or close together.

Got a bit off track there lol but all in all if the playoffs are missed I would fire Shanahan as well as Dubas.

Idk if you guys watched the Dubas interview but he said they were trying to make a trade for a back up much earlier but no one wanted to move a goalie which makes sense to me teams don’t really start selling off prices till this time of year when you know your not going to make the playoffs unless your a team like Detroit.

Those games Hutchinson lost are the difference between having a secure playoff position or being a bubble team. Pretty hard to blame that on Babcock. Especially since Leafs got back into a playoff spot after Babcock was fired. He should have fired Babcock earlier if he wasn’t getting the results he wanted.

Then you add the Ceci signing and overpaying Matthews and Marner, and we are maxed at cap so have a difficult time getting someone else on board. He didn’t sign any of our rfa’s to maximum deals, he only got one year of UFA years for Matthews. He traded down at the draft so we ended up with Bracco instead of Konecny. He let Gardiner walk instead of trading him for a return.

He could have at least re-signed Gardiner instead of signing Ceci, they are equally bad, and Gardiner actually cost less and probably would have been a better fit than Ceci. He let Komorov walk and trades Martin, but now had to trade assets for Clifford. He overpaid in the LA trade because his hand was forced due to injury to Andersen. The Kadri trade is looking like a disaster.

Lou is looking like a star in NY with Trotz playing a defense style game while Leafs are floundering with their offense game play. Drafting all these small skilled guys is like beating a dead horse, we need to have quality depth players too. Not all these fringe nhl players on the bottom six. Blues won last year because of the contributions from their bottom six guys.

Leafs don’t have that luxury. We don’t mix skill with grit, trying to rely on all skill. We are a very top heavy team with this whole studs’n’duds system. Kinda makes it really easy who to focus on don’t you think. Failure to provide an adequate partner for Reilly for basically the whole season.

Is that not enough to warrant him being fired?
