That’s a steep price for sure. I’m not so sure Leafs would be willing to part with that many good roster players to take a chance on both Wild players right now. Is Zucker really any better than Johnsson or Kapanen? Hard to say. I’m pretty sure he’s still on the block though after those two failed trade attempts last year. I really like the fact that both him and Dumba are signed multiple years. The Dumba rumors are really heating up.

It is a trade of 3 Roster Players that are signed mid term. Ceci is traded for financial balance.

Mid term ending in still being an RFA and Dermott is just entering his RFA years. I think a lot of people are confusing short term contracts and bridge deals with control. The value is extremely different between the two. Is Laine worth less because he is on a two year deal? No. He isn't.
