Seriously man? I'm all I'm favour of trade that benefit the leafs but this is hardly enough for Manson let alone adding in rakell.

TOA, I think you are overvaluing Manson here. In 27 games this year he only has 3 points and is a -5. Also I think he just came back from injury and I don't think we can risk losing another defeceman right now. IMO he is a cap dump from Anaheim. Not the guy we should be targeting.

Rackell could definetly bolster our LW, but I'm not sure if Anaheim is ready to part ways with him just yet. They don't have much offence outside of their top 6 and Rackell is still young so they may try to hold on to him for a few more years.

So here is where I'm at. If you look at this trade as Ceci=Manson and Johnsson+Bracco=Rackell, I think you may be able to get a deal done. IMO, Ceci has more value than Manson but they are both included to make the salaries work. I think this would be a good trade to make from the perspective of both teams as Anaheim is looking to get younger up front and the leafs could bolster their LW where they could use a bit of help.

I think if ceci and rackell get left out and aniheim adds a 3rd or something than this deal is a done deal.

The leafs need some more toughness which Manson brings. Both Manson and Rackell are having down years. I hate parting with Johnsson and Bracco but I believe that’s a fair deal for Rackell. Bracco is a top 6 player but won’t get the minutes in Toronto. I know Rackell has had some success but Johnsson has similar potential. If you had to add a Timashov or a mid round pick to make sure the Anaheim faithful are satisfied I would be ok.

I would do it. Bank on Rackell turning it around. Remember, he only makes $3.5M, so is it fair to expect him to be a 30 goal scorer. That year is looking like an anomaly. Same with Manson unfortunately.
