Too much for Marner, that number should be below $10M. $10.5M would make him the highest paid winger in the NHL. Yes he has not scored 30 goals once. keep that in mind.

I didn’t even notice this proposal tucked away here till just now MostLeaf. I got to admit, I do like it though. When the worst that can be said about it is TorontoBuds nitpicking how much you sign Marner for, and me nitpicking the lineups (I would keep Gauthier instead of Petan at 4C and keep Hyman on with Tavares/ Marner line), then I guess it’s a good proposal isn’t it? Lol.

Ottawa might make that trade, but I think they would rather trade Ceci right now first. But then again, what do I know? Lol. Anything is possible, and Ottawa has the cap space to absorb Zaitsev’s contract right now. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him end up in our nation’s capital.
