Leafs trade Nylander, kadri, Lilly

Anaheim trades Getzlaf, Manson. Ana. retains $1.5m on Getzlaf.

This brings the big C we need to match up with other teams best lines, kill penalties along with a Rd for Reilly. Makes Ana. younger with a replacement for Getzlaf.
Money works out once they retain.

I think Toronto gets shafted here I would want either one of there young prospects like steel jones or comtois or I’d want Rakell instead of Getzlaf.

Gotta agree worth Leafs1994: Leafs get older and slower and lose our only a-prospect for RHD. Manson is still good, Getzlaf is on a steep decline even prior to last season’s sh*t show. Getzlaf has been going downhill since 2013/ 2014. Every year since then he has fewer goals and less points.

Even if Anaheim retains, Getzlaf still makes too much, and with only two years left on his contract, Leafs are trading long term assets for a guy who is only going to be on the team two years. He will be our 3C at best. Which to me means we are giving up too much, no matter how I look at breaking this trade down value-wise.

Maybe if it was Marleau instead of Nylander. Lol.
