I really like the idea of the Philly trade but I don't think Philly goes for it. Sanheim for Kapanen is like a wash, but Couturier is worth a lot more then Kadri. I think the leafs have to add, especially if you want to include Zaitsev in the deal.

The Columbus trade I like, except we don't really have a lot of room for Anderson on the RW. I'm not sure he can play LW, but maybe if the leafs have to trade Nylander or Kapapnen, Anderson gets a look. Columbus could use the extra picks anyway.

Not sure Arizona goes for the last trade, but they have been know to trade their young players who don't develop fast enough so I guess it's possible.

I got to agree with MostLeaf here. For the most part I like all these trades, but I feel they slightly favor the Leafs. Not that it’s a bad thing. Lots of trades happen all the time that obviously favor one team. So anything is possible. And it’s not like we are completely taking advantage of the other teams here. They receive valuable and useful pieces in return. Just think Leafs May have to add a little in each proposal.

Couturier is obviously a better version of Ladri. I’ve said many times: everything I like about Kadri, I like even more in Cotourier. And Sanheim is finally living up to expectations. He was a very highly ranked prospect at one point. And he didn’t really get much chance in Philly for a while. But last year he finally got his shot and he nailed it. I can see philly trading Sanheim before Cotourier, and he would be a player Leafs couldn’t target and get without having to lose a whole lot. Philly has so many good young RHD prospect players, you got to think that they will be trading someone to give them help up front.

Crouse trade is a good one. We don’t lose anyone off the current roster and we bring in a guy that has lots of upside potential. At this point, I don’t think Crouse will ever develop into a top six power forward that he was projected to be when drafted. But he could easily make a career for himself along the lines of Ritchie in Anaheim, as a heavy hitting shutdown guy on third and fourth lines and pk. We could have really used a guy like that against Boston, and it is the playoffs when these type of players become most valuable.

Couterier and Sanheim for Kadri+ Kapanen+ Zaitsev+ Dermott

That balances the trade and getting rid of Zaitsev.

Rosen replaces Dermott.
