If you really think about it, the only way we lose if the other team can get a good forcheck and cycle going. This is because no one in the league can outskill us, it just won't happen. How do you break up cycles. Stepping up at the blue line and not allowing easy entry's into the Zone. In the defensive end hits have to be made and not just wussy rubs like zaitsev and Hainsey.

The Bracco for Gudas one is interesting, but I think Dubas won't do it since Bracco is our best forward prospect, and someone we may need on our 4th line next year for cap reasons. The only way I see him being traded is if the leafs get something really good in return, like if we were to put him in a package deal for a LW and a top 4 RHD.

You have absolutely ripped off Carolina in the second deal. ? No way they take that the value isn't even close.

The Blues aren't trading Parayko now that they are in playoff contention, and I don't think that is enough for him anyway. I'm sure Redwing will agree with me.

Why would we trade with the Flyers two separate times? Why not just one trade? Also we need Gardiner and his point totals for the rest of the season and Playoffs, especially if we want to gain home ice advantage against the Bruins. Gardiner has actually put up more points then Simmonds anyway. I understand you may be getting Simmonds for his grit, but I would take Gardiner over him anyday unless the Flyer send us Gudas as well. Gardiner and a pick for Gudas and Simmonds would be a trade to get excited about.

Marleau has a NMC and I doubt he waives it so that last trade won't work either.

I like your analysis of the team. But possibly you are a better coach than GM? Lol. These trades make us a better team, sure, if only the other teams would make them. I know Waddell isn’t the most astute GM in the league. Maybe he would make the trade offered here. I can’t say the same about the rest.
