Florida trades Hoffman

Florida is still looking to dump salary so they can make a run at Panarin and Bobrovsky. Hoffman’s name has come up a lot lately.

Florida made great move with Pittsburgh cleared dollars 4 next season. Any Ducks you want off the scrape heap buddy and is Sparks worst backup in league. That third goal on his knees over his shoulder that’s what is whispered around the league. AHL sharpshooters are not in same League as NHL snippers.

Hoffman was only traded for a low return because of the bullying problems.

Before last week, if anyone suggested Niedereitter for rask, they would have been laughed at. But that’s exactly what happened. Press needed to clear cap space for whatever reasons, presumably so they can make a bigger splash.

If Rask was all Preds could get for Niedereitter, it could be Leafs get Hoffman on the cheap. Depends how bad Carolina wants Panarin and Bobrovsky. There’s a lot of very good players available this year at deadline too. So prices being driven down as a result.
