I don't know how the Leafs afford Marner after bringing in Manson (4M+ in 2019) and Zadorov (Rfa with arb rights in 2019). You're adding probably 9-10M onto next year's cap while only subtracting Johnsson, who i'm guessing would probably only make 1.5-2.5M next year depending on term. The Leafs only have about 14M in space next year, so Marner + Kapanen have to split the remaining 4 million when the two of them almost need the full 14.

No way Colorado goes for this zadorov is their guy on d and timmins had a serious injury this year but still is a top prospect for them.

2 UFA’s for Zadorov is a risk Colorado might not be willing to make.

Timmons experiencing serious setback with major concussion. Anaheim already has a lot of very good young defensemen anyway. They might be looking for more forwards instead of Rasanen and Timmons.

With Timmins having concussions issues, he could possibly be had for less than originally expected. Would be good if the Leafs could bring him in and take a risk on him.

Oh, and he was a Soo Greyhound drafted by Dubas.

I would say Colorado is giving up too much for their liking here, and Anaheim isn't giving up enough.
