D-men are dropping like flies in Arizona. Down to 1 or 2 NHL caliber D-men, depending on the day to day status of OEL and Goligoski. How can a team have 9 players on IR and still have $20M in cap space without using LTIR? But I digress. Time to use some of that cap space to keep their play off hopes alive.

Leafs: Zaitsev, Holl, Horton, 2019 4th.
Yotes: Crouse

Why am I so big on Crouse when some of you are saying he is a bust?
He is big(6'4", 220lbs), can skate well for a big man, and hits ... a lot! Seventh in the league(167 hits)Top Leaf before Muzzin(117) ... Zaitsev(90). Considered a bust because he was drafted as a scoring forward and had 6 goals total in his first 2 seasons and only 8 so far this year. That puts him behind Hyman(9) and ahead of Brown(5), Nylander(2), Gauthier(2) and Lindholm(1). Oh, and he is 21 YO and costs $0.9M.

Not a bust. And you already pointed out why. So why is the trade so terrible?

Reason arizona say no to this is simple. next year cap space won't be their anymore.

If you look at cap for next year 5 players have big extensions then next summer their big player Keller will get nylander money.

I mean they could do this deal as it helps this year. i like it so why not ask.

The more simple answer is they don't want Holl, Zaitsev or Horton or the 4th. Honestly, I can't think of any team that would need Holl or Zaitsev.

1st of all you traded Bracco twice, and he is going to take Brown's spot next year so the leafs won't trade him anyway.

Second, why not just trade Hainsey to Philly? Why do we need the third? And honestly if we can get Gudas we should keep Hainsey so we don't have to trade for Pesce as well.
