Entertain this:

Tor is missing 1 piece now. With Muzzin the D core is good enough, it isn't perfect but team defense is more important - eg. VGK.

Tor needs a 4th center that can shut down and score a few goals.

A 1st round puck for a 4th line center seems a little overpayment. Dubas might want to hold onto next years 1st to use for next year’s playoffs. If we trade all our chips this year and don’t win, we won’t have anything for next year to attract a trade.

Tierney is better than 4th line duties anyway. If we could bring him in, we could use him 3rd line and either trade Kadri or put him on the wing.

Not chance I would give up the first rounder. I may tease the goat for him straight up but that would be it. Just my opinion, good idea though. I really just think we need to get someone with size that can score, a mean person on defence. As long as they can do that without giving up their 2020 first, I’m game.

Would love Tierney. Have you been drinking offering 1st for 4th line centre? They two wasted 2nd rounders for 4th liners last two years? You use 1st rounders for top 4 dmen and top 6 forwards.
