This is a pretty fair trade in my books sanhiem and Johnsson are both rfas and both will probably get similar contracts leafs need rhd flyers need a good young forward. As for simmonds I think they want a first for him but with his season he has had this year I don't think he's worth it especially for a rental we give up brown another good young player that just lost his spot in the leafs lineup but he has proven he can play pretty much anywhere in any role so him and a second I think is fair

Simmonds is garbage not sure why everyone keeps trading for him for example Kassian bring the same elements of the game for way cheaper bad trade.

Simmonds appears to be in decline. But Sanheim is looking pretty good. I thought Sanheim was LD though, which we really don’t need anymore of.

Philly is loads with good defensemen. Even if Sanheim isn’t the right guy for us, there are plenty of other options available there. Philly would like both Johnsson and Brown on the team I’m sure and have plenty of cap space left they can afford both those guys.

I like sandheim. I’d be game making this deal if it were provorov as opposed to sandheim. Would cost more. Don’t think phily has the appetite for that though.

On cap friendly it has him as a rd which he could play that position and just be a left handed shot. Still a young controllable player.

Yes I would love Provorov too but I don’t see philly moving him.
